About the formats

The most widely supported photo format there is. JPG keeps files small by discarding detail the eye barely notices, which suits photos well but blurs sharp text and edges. It has no transparency.

Do I need the AV1 extension from the Microsoft Store?
No. Crustify reads AVIF on its own.
Why is the JPG bigger than the AVIF?
